GUILTY pleas have been entered on the day of trial for a man caught with a firearm near a betting shop.
Rhys Taylor, 32, was arrested by police after an incident in Headington earlier this year.
Police were called near the Betfred store at The Slade and on Leiden Road at around 6pm on Tuesday, March 5.

Taylor, of Tarragon Drive, Oxford, was then charged with two counts of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

He was caught with a silver revolver.
The defendant was due to stand trial at Oxford Crown Court on Monday (August 5) but instead pleaded guilty to both counts.
Taylor will now be sentenced on October 5.
He has been granted conditional bail.
