A sculpture exhibition will be held at gardens in Waterperry next month.

Sculptor Jenny Pickford is known for her combinations of enduring metal and hand-blown glass in sculptures that portray both the resilience and delicacy of nature.

She has many commissions in her portfolio, from Wimbledon to a newly opened arts centre in Dorset, The Sherborne, as well as permanent fixtures in China, Australia and the USA.

Her exhibition, SuperNature, will be at Waterperry Gardens from September 6 to October 20.

This season, Ms Pickford has created an edition of Irises, the national flower of Palestine, paying tribute to the region.

A portion of the sales from the Iris sculptures will go to charities that aid the people of Gaza.

One of the Irises will be available to view at the September Song Festival at Braziers Park, near Wallingford, from September 6-8, alongside an installation of a field of irises culminating in a re-wilding meadow at the park in Ipsden.

Ms Pickford has recently shown alongside glass artist Dale Chihuly in London, and was a regular exhibitor at many art events including Chelsea Flower Show.

Her work often explores the dual notions of fragility and strength, with her most well-known works being floral sculptures at various gardens.

She also works with architects and clients to create bespoke works, and designs collections of smaller works.
