Two police officers have been assaulted while trying to arrest a man in Oxford.
The incident happened at around midnight last night (August 3) when four police cars pulled in to Park End Street.
As part of proactive patrols in Oxford city centre and following information that the force had obtained, Thames Valley Police officers then stopped a man in the street.
But the man made off, resisted arrest and then assaulted two officers, police said.
A 24-year-old from Oxford has been arrested and is currently in police custody.
