A Bollywood heart-throb made the owner's day when he dropped by an Indian restaurant during a shopping visit.

Leading man Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira unexpectedly dropped by Shrishti's Kitchen in Crown Walk in Bicester while visiting Bicester Village.

Mr Kapoor, who starred in Ishq Vishk, was initially famous for portraying romantic roles but has since taken on parts in action films and thrillers.

Owner Shrishti Rattan said: "I couldn’t believe my eyes that it’s was Shahid Kapoor. I have alway been a super duper huge fan like millions of other people.

"They were here on a holiday and shopping at Bicester Village and we talked about their children and my children and my business.

"They ordered daal tadka, Bombay aloo, kadai paneer, garlic naan, yogurt and onion salad.

"They really liked the food and services and Shahid posted a story with my picture and a beautiful message on his Insta while sitting at the restaurant. Then I took pictures with them.

Mrs Rattan added: "My heart was deeply touched to see how humble they both were.

"Mira Kapoor is stunning women and she suggested me that I should be promoting my business with the tag line “Ghar Ka Khana” which means home cooked food.

"It’s my restaurant and I am the only chef so I cooked for them and served them as well. It was such a honour and pleasure to serve them.

"It was unbelievable how humble, down to earth and respectful they were."

Shristi’s Kitchen, which serves a fusion of the North and South India culinary traditional menu as well as street food, was formerly called Mirch Masala.
