New data using patient reviews on Oxfordshire GPs reveals which surgeries are worst and best for getting your preferred GP, have the most unhelpful receptionists and the overall experience.
The latest IPSOS Mori/NHS England survey consisted of around 2.56 million questionnaires sent out to patients aged 16 or over registered with GP practices in England, from January 2 to March 2, 2024.
699,790 patients completed and returned a questionnaire, resulting in a national response rate of 27.3 per cent.

The results revealed that the Windrush Surgery in Banbury was the least likely place you would secure your preferred GP in the county with a percentage rate of 7.7 per cent.
Church Street Practice in Wantage ranked next in the list with a percentage of 14 per cent while Banbury Cross Health Centre had a percentage of 16.8 per cent placing third worst.
On the other end of the spectrum, Sibford Surgery in Banbury received the highest positive response with 97.1 per cent.
Berinsfield Health Centre was the second best in the category with a percentage of 91.6 while Northgate Health Centre in Oxford came in at third with 80.6 per cent
The results also showed which GPs had the most helpful receptionists with Cropredy Surgery in Cropredy near Banbury ranking first with 100 per cent.
Sibford Surgery in Burdop near Banbury had the second highest with 99.6 per cent and the Observatory Medical Practice in Oxford was third in the list with 99.4 per cent.
The GP scoring the worst in this was Newbury Street Practice in Wantage with only 51.3 per cent saying the reception at the surgery was helpful.
The second lowest result was the Alchester Medical Group in Bicester with 53.8 per cent while Windrush Surgery scored 55.4 per cent.

Patients were also able to vote on whether they had a positive overall experience with their GP.
The lowest scoring was the Montgomery House Surgery in Bicester with 52.8 per cent saying they had a positive experience.
Newbury Street Practice in Wantage scored slightly higher with 54.7 per cent, while 58 per cent of patients had a positive experience at Banbury Cross Health Centre.
The result showed that Cropredy Surgery was the most-favoured across the county with 97.1 per cent of those surveyed feeling they had an overall positive experience at the surgery.
Berinsfield Health Centre in Berinsfield near Wallingford had a 96.9 per cent positive rating, while Sibford Surgery in Banbury had 96.8 per cent and Kes Northgate in Oxford had 96.1 per cent.
The patient survey said that overall 73.9 per cent of patients said they had a good overall experience of their GP practice and 67.3 per cent of patients had a good overall experience of contacting their GP practice.
Of patients who had contacted or used an NHS service when their GP practice was closed, 55.9 per cent had a good overall experience.
