Nights out in Oxford are now more expensive than ever before according to new research.
The research shows that the city has seen the biggest increase in the cost of a night out when compared to the rest of the country.
Oxford’s night out cost has risen by a whopping 127.6 per cent over the last two years with the largest individual cost increase being hotel prices by 160 per cent.
The study conducted by Casino.org analysed various factors such as travel costs, the price of a pint, weekend hotel rates, and the cost of post-night out grub to reveal the UK cities with the biggest increase in the cost of a night over the last two years.

Amongst the data was a 16.73 per cent increase on the cost of three pints as well as a 20 per cent increase on a McDonald’s order.
The total average cost of an Oxford night out is £303 according to the study with it previously being £133 in 2022.
The neighbouring town of Swindon ranked second behind Norwich on the list of places with the smallest increase in the cost of a night out.
"Swindon’s economy has seen a low level of job creation over the last few years, and this lack of economic activity could explain the small increase," a researcher said.
