A teenager has died at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital following a road traffic collision in Milton Keynes.

Police said a Vauxhall Corsa and Suzuki motorcycle collided on Wolverton Road at the junction of Marsh Drive in the Buckinghamshire city at approximately 4.37pm on Sunday, July 27

The rider of the Suzuki, an 18-year-old man from Milton Keynes, was seriously injured and taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headley Way, Headington, where he died on Wednesday (July 31).

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

Thames Valley Police has launched an appeal for public information this morning (August 2) as well as offering their condolences to the family of the teenager.

The lead investigating officer, sergeant Ed Crofts from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Bicester, said: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this time.

”We are appealing for any witnesses who have not already come forward to contact us.

“If you were in the vicinity of Wolverton Road at the time and saw either of the vehicles prior to the collision we would be keen to hear from you.
