Staff at an Oxford telemedicine provider for the NHS has revealed how the firm has created a positive workplace culture.

Consultant Connect has been recognised by the Great Place to Work initiative as the 26th best small workplace for wellbeing, and the 25th best small workplace for women in the UK.

Stephen Lamb, the firm's account manager who has been with the company for six years, believes Consultant Connect's "consistent mission" has been key to its success.

He said: "The company has grown in size and scope of offering since I started, but the consistency of our mission has been incredibly important in making it a great place to work.

"The fundamental values of making a difference to the NHS and improving patient care have always been a constant in everything we do."

He also stressed the importance of changes to allow for a "flexible" working day to help with family arrangements.

These changes "create a genuine sense the senior management team care about our welfare", Mr Lamb said.

Fernando Braga, a senior product manager who has been at the company for 18 months, said a "very friendly environment" made Consultant Connect a good place to work.

He added: "Communication between teams is very open and valued, which means everyone is always on the same page.

"This creates a great work/life balance as expectations are clear and well defined.”
