Nineteen performing arts students from across Oxfordshire have performed in front of thousands at the Disneyland Park in Paris.

The young performers from Stagecoach Performing Arts in Abingdon, Botley, Didcot and Wallingford took part in the Dance The Dream event held at Disneyland's Main Street.

They were among more than 1,000 people from 28 Stagecoach schools present at the event.

Stagecoach said the students worked "tremendously hard" during rehearsals for what culminated in a "fantastic display of talent" for audiences from around the world.

Dance the Dream offers the students an opportunity to display their abilities internationally.

Stagecoach Abingdon, Botley, Didcot and Wallingford principal, Tara Melia Hunt, said: "We were so excited to take this fantastic group of students to Disney this year.

"It's a magical experience for the students and families to perform in front of the castle and in the pre-parade dance.

"We were also extremely excited to have visited with a former student turned teacher, Jack, who went with us in 2022 and now works at Disneyland Paris as a performer. Disney dreams do come true.”

Stagecoach Performing Arts has a network of more than 55,000 students and more than 3,000 extra-curricular performing arts schools worldwide.

In the 35 years since launching, it has worked with more than one million students, helping them to "unlock their creative potential".
