An Oxfordshire parkrun saw record numbers last weekend, with over 700 people attending.
On Saturday, July 27, 702 runners took part in Bicester park run, more than triple the amount of runners attending parkrun the previous week, which welcomed 236 parkrunners.
The reason for the large increase in runners was due to the nearby Vegan Campout Festival taking place at Bicester Heritage, with 289 people who list Vegan Runners as their first claim running club turning up.
The Vegan Runners regional rep from east England said a few words and dedicated the parkrun to Jess Preston, a Vegan Runner from near Colchester, Essex who passed away that week after losing her battle with cancer.
