A major police decision has been made after a man hit by an Audi on a major Oxford street was hospitalised.
The incident occurred when a pedestrian was involved in the collision in Chapel Street, off Cowley Road at around 10.15pm on Friday, May 3.
A black Audi A1 was involved and the pedestrian, who was a 39-year-old man, suffered minor injuries.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

More than 10 police officers attended the incident while an ambulance and paramedics could also be seen close to the site outside the O2 Academy in Cowley Road.
The busy street was brought to a standstill as treatment was administered to the man before he was taken away to hospital.
Thames Valley Police confirmed at the time that the incident had been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
A spokesperson for the force said: “As a result of the incident, a mandatory referral has been made by Thames Valley Police to the IOPC.”

Thames Valley Police has now announced that the IOPC case will go no further but the incident itself is still under investigation with no arrests made.
“No arrests have been made, but there still is an active investigation,” a spokesperson for the force recently said.
“The IOPC has filed the case with no further action.”
