A housebuilder with a development near Thame is encouraging children to play outside this summer.
To encourage youngsters to get into nature, Redrow South Midlands is providing free 'explorer packs' at The Maltings.
The packs include mini magnifying glasses, binoculars, bug catcher nets, stickers, crayons, and seeded paper for children to grow plants at home.
Andrew Newman, sales director for Redrow South Midlands, said: "With school officially out for summer, we’re thrilled to be offering explorer packs to children in Thame and beyond to encourage them to get to know the wonderful nature we have on our doorstep.
“We’re proud to be setting the standard for other developers in prioritising children’s need for outdoor play and look forward to welcoming playmakers of all ages to pick up their packs.
“With limited numbers available, we’d encourage anyone interested to be quick to avoid disappointment - may the forest be with you."
The concept of play is a key priority at all Redrow developments, the housebuilder says, with designated open spaces, play-on-the-way spaces and multi-functional green corridors to encourage residents to interact and promote a better way to live.
The Maltings, located just six miles from Aylesbury, offers a variety of homes, ranging from two to five bedrooms, with prices starting at £525,000.
It is close to station's offering direct trains to London Marylebone in around an hour.
