Family favourites and animated adventures are heading to the big screen in Oxford and Bicester this summer holidays.

The Vue cinemas in both locations will be offering new releases and re-screenings, with movies such as Despicable Me 4 and Inside Out 2 leading the line-up.

The cinema chain's Mighty Morning screenings will bring back classics like Garfield and Kung Fu Panda 4 for just £2.49 per ticket when booked online.

General manager at Vue in Oxford, Kasia Burczak, said: "We’ve got a great selection of new films and big screen entertainment on show, offering a perfect way to enjoy quality family time while school is out for the summer.

"With film screenings from just £5.99, the big screen experience at Vue is the perfect treat during the half term break."

Both Vues will be bringing favourite children’s characters from television shows and web series back to the big screen, including The Gruffalo's Child & Zog and the Flying Doctors as part of its recently announced family offering, Vue’s Big Shorts.

These short screenings aim to offer a relaxed big screen environment with dimmed lights and reduced sound, designed for children aged one to four.
