The 15-year-old fell into the road and was struck by a passing vehicle resulting in him being taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Thames Valley Police reported at the time that the driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene and the boy has since been discharged from hospital.
It has been confirmed by the force that officers are no longer investigating the incident in Sainsbury’s car park.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “The report has been filed pending further information coming to light.”
