Oxfordshire patients have had their say on how helpful (or unhelpful) they find reception staff at their GP surgery.
The results of the annual GP Patient Survey have revealed the most and least helpful receptionists in surgeries across the county.
The IPSOS Mori/NHS England survey consisted of around 2.56 million questionnaires sent out to patients aged 16 or over registered with GP practices in England, from January 2 to March 2, 2024.

699,790 patients completed and returned a questionnaire, resulting in a national response rate of 27.3 per cent.
The top five rated GP surgeries in the ‘helpful receptionists category’
- Cropredy Surgery (Claydon Road, Cropredy, Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX17 1FB) - 100 per cent
- Sibford Surgery (New Surgery, Burdrop, Sibford Gower, Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX15 5RQ) - 99.6 per cent
- Observatory Medical Practice (Walton Street, Oxford, OX2 6NW) - 99.4 per cent
- Berinsfield Health Centre (24 Fane Dr, Berinsfield, Wallingford, Oxfordshire, OX10 7NE) - 98.8 per cent
- Nettlebed Surgery (Wanbourne Lane, Nettlebed, Henley-On-Thames, Oxfordshire, RG9 5AJ) - 98.4 per cent
Lowest scoring GP surgeries in the ‘helpful receptionists category’
- Newbury Street Practice (The Health Ctr, Mably Way, Wantage, Oxfordshire, OX12 9BN) - 51.3 per cent
- Alchester Medical Group (Langford Medical Practice, 9 Nightingale Place, Bicester, Oxfordshire, OX26 6XX) - 53.8 per cent
- Windrush Surgery (21 West Bar, Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX16 9SA) - 55.4 per cent
- Montgomery House Surgery (Piggy Lane, Bicester, Oxfordshire, OX26 6HT) - 68.4 per cent
- Didcot Health Centre Practice (Britwell Road, Didcot, Oxfordshire, OX11 7JH) - 71 per cent
