Opportunist burglars broke into a house by climbing through a small open window.
Once inside the home in Reading Road, Goring, the thieves carried out 'a messy search', Thames Valley Police said.
It is unknown at the moment what has been stolen.

Thames Valley Police's priority crime team, which is based at Abingdon police station, is appealing for witnesses to the burglary which happened some time between 8.30am and 5.55pm on July 29.
Police are also asking householders to review CCTV and doorbell footage in the area from the time of the incident.
