An Oxford restaurant has launched a new south Indian breakfast menu as it continues to expand its offering following its launch earlier this year.
Dosa Darlings, located on Cowley Road, introduced traditional south Indian dishes for breakfast for the first time on Saturday (July 27).
The restaurant will now serve breakfast on weekends from 10am to midday.
The breakfast menu consists of dosas such as a masala dosa, ghee dosa, and egg dosa, idly, a savoury rice cake, and pongal, a rice and lentil dish.
Customers can also order uttapam, a type of dosa that differs from the rest because it is thicker and served with toppings, and a range of breads and goodness bowls.
Michael Raphel, owner of Dosa Darlings, said: "South Indian breakfast is truly delicious and we're very excited to give the people of Oxford the chance to enjoy it and perhaps sample some dishes for the first time.
“We’ve been embraced by the community and are delighted that the success of Dosa Darlings is continuing.”
The breakfast menu launch comes after the restaurant opened in February, and comes fresh off the heels of the opening of a new alfresco dining area in June.
To encourage customers to try a South Indian breakfast this summer, Dosa Darlings has been offering guests a 25 per cent discount on breakfast throughout July.
