The Game Fair returned to the grounds of Blenheim Palace for the first time in 10 years with a record attendance.
The sun shone as in the VIP Enclosure, guests were treated to wild game-inspired dishes by celebrity chef James Martin.
The marquee was co-hosted by Escape to the Chateau’s Dick and Angel Strawbridge and barman Merlin Griffiths.
Not only did the event organisers have to contend with the effects of the wet winter on the ground but the European leaders summit in the week leading up to the event meant the main build had to be put on hold.

Even so the supersize fair had 136,000 visitors attend over 700 exhibitors and organisations.
More than 20 MPs attended and debated countryside issues of the day in the Carter Jonas Game Fair Theatre.
Event director James Gower said: “We were very happy to see the sunshine at this mega Game Fair where we celebrated all aspects of the rural community and demonstrated the importance of the great British countryside.
"From passionate debates to have-a-go activities, there has been something for everyone.”
Managing Director of Blenheim Estate Roy Cox added: "Our practices in gamekeeping, forestry, and farming are deeply intertwined with the themes of this fair.
"The Game Fair is a beacon of excellence in showcasing the very best of country life, fieldsports and rural pursuits.
"It provides a platform for knowledge sharing, innovation, and the celebration of our rural heritage.”
