A CHEMIST has been found dead at his home address the day of being discharged after undergoing a knee operation.
Ralph Thomas, 76, was found deceased at his home in Stone Close, Oxford on January 3. His death was verified by a police officer at 4.43pm after someone had gone over to check on him.
His death followed a knee operation which took place on December 12. He was discharged on January 3.

An inquest opening held at Oxford Coroner’s Court on Friday (July 26) heard that a post-mortem examination took place.
The medical cause of death has been provided as pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis and recent knee placement surgery.
A date for a full inquest has been set for November 19 at 2pm.
