A bereaved mum took part in a sponsored headshave for a road safety charity three years after her son's death.

Vashti Styles's son Isaak Chaab-Styles, aged 20 and from Charlbury, was tragically killed in a head-on collision with an HGV driver on the A40 near Burford in 2021.

Mrs Styles and her friend Beth Lloyd had their heads shaved in memory of Isaak at Charlbury Town Sports & Social club on July 13 to mark three years since he was killed.

Beth also had a sponsored leg wax.

Ms Styles said: "I wanted to do something positive in my son's memory. Road Peace is a charity that supports families and those seriously injured and killed on the roads in the UK -a charity which my family weren't aware of until Isaak's fatal crash.

"I have now chosen to volunteer for Road Peace as a befriender."

She added: "Isaak has three younger siblings who have not found grief easy to cope with."

Isaak, who worked as a plumber, was driving his red Ford Fiesta when he collided the lorry near the turning for Little Barrington.

Ms Styles said he "left for work happy on Tuesday morning, and none of us knew that you would not be coming home".

She said her son was "never angry and always such an inspiration" who "loved" and was "loved by all of your friends and family".

His heartbroken father, Mustapha Chaab, said: "Everywhere you went, you left your mark and touched people you met."

His friends said he had "infectious positive energy" and described him as the most selfless person they had ever met.

The driver of the lorry was not injured, and no-one was arrested.
