Barbeque has taken the title of Oxford's most popular type of takeaway in a new study.
The research, conducted by QR Code Generator, analysed every restaurant in the city that offers online delivery on Just Eat.
These takeaways were categorised into 42 cuisine types and the reviews were then analysed to find which cuisines are the most highly rated by customers.
Barbeque, with an average rating of 4.86 from a combined 11,645 reviews across 24 restaurants, topped the list.
Styles vary from American barbeque, which commonly features marinated ribs, pulled pork and brisket, to different traditions in countries like Brazil and South Africa.
Following closely behind were Turkish and Middle Eastern cuisines, scoring an average of 4.82 and 4.72 respectively, with Italian and grill making up the top five.
There are four Turkish restaurants offering delivery in Oxford, while there are 10 Middle Eastern eateries that offer the same.
A spokesperson from QR Code Generator said: "Takeaways have become a beloved staple in Britain, reflecting the nation's busy lifestyle and multicultural palate.
"Offering a convenient solution for those hectic evenings, takeaways bring a diverse array of dishes from around the world right to people's doorsteps.
"From traditional fish and chips to flavourful Indian curries and fresh sushi, the popularity of takeaways showcases Britain's love for variety and ease, making them an integral part of modern British dining culture."
