Two Oxfordshire care homes are set to run taster weeks for over 65s at the start of August.
Langford View and Townsend House care homes, in Bicester and Oxford respectively, are offering a free day of activities and refreshments from August 5 to 9.
The taster weeks are designed to promote the homes' new day care service, which will run every weekday from 10am to 4pm.
Attendees can expect a day of entertainment and activities, including a hot lunch and refreshments.
The service aims to combat loneliness, give family carers a break, and create a safe and sociable space.
During the taster week, newcomers can try out a full day of care for free, subject to a short care assessment.
Langford View runs activities every morning and afternoon, such as quizzes, game challenges, baking and bingo.
The home's activities co-ordinator, Terri Reeve, said: "We’re thrilled to be welcoming new participants to our newly launched day care service here at Langford View.
"We encourage local over 65-year-old residents to come and try out the service with a complimentary place during our taster week, August 5-9."
Townsend House's activities co-ordinator, Jacqueline Smith, added: "Day care provides a wonderful opportunity for people to connect, form friendships, explore new hobbies, and create lasting memories."
