A charity supporting families across Oxfordshire has announced a summer line-up of free events.

Home-Start Oxford will be running the events throughout August in the Witney and Rose Hill areas.

Although the sessions are designed for families with children up to the age of five, older siblings are also welcome to attend.

At Oxlease Play Park in Witney, events are planned to run weekly on Wednesdays from 10am to midday.

Meanwhile, in Rose Hill, sessions will take place on certain Fridays at the Rose Hill Community Centre from 10am to midday.

There will be a different theme for each session, ensuring a variety of experiences for the children involved.

Jan Chrystal, Home-Start Oxford’s family coordinator, said: "We’re delighted to be able to offer so many fun sessions again this year.

"It’s always difficult for young families to find things to do over the summer that don’t cost lots of money.

"We want parents, grandparents and carers to come and have some fun with their children and not have to worry about the cost.

"We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone."

The charity provides non-judgemental, free support to families in the Oxford and West Oxfordshire area who have at least one child under the age of five.
