A counselling service which supports people in South Oxfordshire has received a donation from a full-fibre broadband provider.
Abingdon-based Gigaclear helped Riverside Counselling Service exceed its fundraising target of £5,000 by donating £300.
The contribution comes during matched funding campaign organisation Big Give's Kind2Mind campaign, doubling the amount Riverside Counselling Service received.
Riverside trustee, Phil Bridge, said: "Gigaclear have supported the local community in numerous ways and I was delighted when they agreed to also support Riverside Counselling Service by making a donation during the Big Give period.
"Their donation will provide affordable counselling sessions to those in need."
The charity, which provides mental health and wellbeing support to adults and young people aged 12 and above, has recently asked the public to 'Be a Friend, Tell a Friend' in a new £240,000 appeal.
It is aimed at helping the service cope with the post-pandemic surge in demand for mental health services and the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.
The charity offers one-to-one counselling, a support group, a drop-in service and professional training.
Rezia Khan, from Gigaclear, said: "By supporting Riverside Counselling, Gigaclear aims to contribute to the sustainability of these essential services, ensuring that community members continue to have access to the mental health support they need.
"This partnership underscores Gigaclear's commitment to fostering strong, healthy communities and enhancing the quality of life for its customers."
