A YOUNG man has been accused of trying to pay for the sexual services of an underage girl.

William Haslett-Elliott, of Blenheim Drive Oxford, is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 30, charged with two counts.

The 27-year-old has been charged with one count each of arranging or facilitating the commission of offence of sexual activity with a child and attempting to pay for the sexual services of a girl aged 13 to 15.

It is alleged that on February 8 in Oxford, he had tried to pay for sexual services of a girl aged 14. The girl cannot be named for legal reasons.

Haslett-Elliott is due in court next week for his first hearing.

It is unknown if he will be asked to plea.
