A JAIL sentence has been handed to a man caught stealing dog food, meat and ice cream from a shop.
Edwin Sapsford, 23, of Buckingham Road, Bicester, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on July 15 charged with four counts of theft from a shop.

On June 26, he stole two bottles of wine and an ice cream to the value of £22.40 from Co-Op in Bicester, on July 7 he stole dog food to an unknown value from the same store, on July 8 he stole meat to the value of £34 and £65.50 from the same store.
He pleaded guilty and was jailed for two weeks. He was also ordered to pay £99.50 in compensation.
It will run concurrently with a sentence he is already serving.
