AFTER a plea hearing, a man has admitted to throwing a dog across a room.
Jordan Baskerville, of Parsons Place, Oxford, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (June 6) charged with causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.
The 29-year-old was accused of throwing a dog across a room and pushing its head into a sofa on November 17 last year.

It is unknown what the breed of the dog is. At the hearing, Baskerville pleaded guilty.
Baskerville has also been charged with one count of assault by beating of a woman on the same day but has not pleaded not guilty and a trial is now due to take place.
His case has now been adjourned for a trial to take place later this year.
