The cause of a major hay bale fire in a village has not been established, Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service has said.
120 tons of baled hay in seven stacks were alight, with fire engines sent from Wantage, Faringdon, and Didcot fire stations on Saturday (July 20) in the village of Goosey.
A spokesman for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue said: "Oxfordshire County Council’s Fire and Rescue Service were called to Goosey House Farm, the road running through Goosey (Faringdon) at 11.01pm on 20 July 2024.
"The cause of the fire hasn’t been established.

"Crews departed at 7.43am on Sunday, July 21."
A statement from Thames Valley Police, posted at 12.49am on Sunday, July 21, said: "Our officers are currently on scene near Goosey, Faringdon assisting Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service with a number of haybale fires in the fields surrounding the village.
"The fire is likely to remain alight into the morning.
"We do not believe, at this time, that there is any ongoing risk to local residents or that this incident will cause any disruption.
"The fire service will continue to manage the response and provide updates to the public where necessary."
