An event aimed at supporting unemployed adults in Oxfordshire will take place in Abingdon on Wednesday.
Oxford Direct Services (ODS) has partnered with Abingdon and Witney College to host the Employability Skills Session on July 24 from 1pm to 4pm at the college's Abingdon campus.
The session is designed to assist attendees in gaining essential skills and knowledge to boost their employability.
Workshops will cover CV writing, interview preparation, apprenticeship guidance, and career support.
There will also be talks from industry leaders and networking opportunities.
Councillor Nigel Chapman, Oxford City Council's cabinet member for citizen focused services and council companies, said: "ODS is dedicated to 'doing good' in the community and this is a fine example of the organisation doing just that.
"I want to encourage unemployed adults to sign up and get along to this event to enhance their skills and chances of getting that next job."
Stevie-Ann Bedwell, ODS HR manager, added: "By providing these employability skills, we hope to empower individuals in our community to overcome employment challenges and achieve their career goals."
Attendees who sign up in advance and attend can potentially win a £50 Amazon voucher.
Jennifer Collett, people services manager at Abingdon and Witney College, said: "Helping the local community with employability skills and their careers is important to us as a leading Further Education provider, so we are really looking forward to the day and our collaboration with ODS."
