A woman in her 20s was allegedly touched inappropriately by a teenage boy whilst running in Didcot last week.

Thames Valley Police said the incident occurred on Friday, July 19 at approximately 7.30pm on the footpath in Ladygrove, which runs parallel to the railway line and Alphin Brook.

Police said a woman in her 20s was "touched inappropriately" by a boy whilst out on a run.

The victim then chased the suspect until Dart Drive in Ladygrove, police have said.

A 14-year-old boy from Abingdon has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.

He has been released under investigation whilst the investigation continues.

Investigating officer PC Curtis Emery, based at Didcot police station, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this sexual assault to please come forward.

“In particular, I would like to speak to a woman and child who were on the footpath near to the skate park who may have seen the offender.

“Also, anyone in the Dart Drive area around the time of the incident who may have a dash-cam, CCTV camera or a video doorbell, I’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist us.
