Oxford artist, Rosemarie Deepwell, will display more than 40 of her pastel, oil, and watercolour works in a solo exhibition from tomorrow (July 22).

The event, organised by Deepwell Arts, will run over three days, honouring Deepwell's extensive contributions to the Oxford arts scene.

In the past, Ms Deepwell was known for her Sunday showings on the University Parks railings, drawing commendable praise from art collectors who, to this day, express gratitude for the joy her work has brought.

Ms Deepwell's artistic talents have long outlasted her regular open-air exhibits, living on in homes and hearts to inspire unending appreciation.

Beyond her art, Ms Deepwell's influence in the Oxford community also shone in the field of education.

For three decades spanning the 70s, 80s, and 90s, she managed Hunsdon House Nursery School in Headington, which is celebrating its centenary.

Now renamed Hunsdon House Garden School, the institution remains a creative hub for the town's children, consistently cultivating creativity in its students aged three to five years old.

In addition to her art, the exhibition will also pay tribute to Ms Deepwell's role as an educator, drawing together her diverse achievements in a fitting tribute.

It is indeed an event poised to gather Oxford's creative community in celebration of Ms Deepwell's profound impact.
