Train passengers have been urged to double-check routes ahead of major railway upgrades around Oxford at the end of the month.
Essential engineering work is taking place north and south of the city, with Network Rail replacing a significant section of the track on July 27 and 28.
Work at Culham, on the line to Didcot Parkway, includes a replacement of 350 metres of tracks, 550 sleepers, and 1,620 tonnes of ballast.
Operations still go on with the Oxfordshire Connect station expansion scheme, involving the installation of cable route ducting, drainage, and dismantling of an obsolete access ramp on platform 3.
The projects between Bicester and Leamington Spa, commencing on July 27 and finishing on July 31, include the replacement of a railway bridge spanning the River Cherwell near Banbury, along with 500 metres of railway improvements.
Network Rail lead portfolio manager Mark Parker said: "Throughout the weekend there will be a hive of activity with a mixture of crucial maintenance and upgrades to enhance the railway for the future taking place side by side in and around Oxford Station."
He advised passengers to check their journey status due to the scheduled works.
Apologising for any inconvenience, GWR station manager for Oxford Billy White urged commuters to check their travel plans ahead of the weekend.
He thanked the public in advance for their patience as these essential works are conducted.
