Four Thame residents and two businesses have been honoured for their contribution to the community.
The accolades were presented at the annual Thame Town Awards on Thursday, July 18.
These awards began in 2009 to recognise those who contribute towards making Thame a safer, more vibrant, and happier place to live.
This year, there were more than 300 nominations across five categories: Company of the Year, Service with a Smile, Creative Arts Contribution, Sporting Contribution, and Volunteer of the Year.
The selection process was assigned to a panel of six representing Grace Church Thame, Citizens Advice, Thame Fire Station, Chinnor RFC, Lord Williams's School, and Thame Town Council.
The winners were announced as Monkey Puzzle for Service with a Smile, for its consistently good service and friendly atmosphere.
James McCann won the Creative Arts Contribution for his voluntary work at Thame Players Theatre.
Morrisons Daily was chosen as Company of the Year, praised for its strong community communication.
Martin Davis received 111 nominations and won Volunteer of the Year for his work as a community first responder, volunteering over 200 hours each month during the pandemic.
Ashley Roff was recognised with the Sporting Contribution of the Year Award for walking the equivalent of the UK's length, despite multiple physical setbacks.
John Hulett received the Special Mayor’s Award for his ongoing volunteer work since retiring as headteacher.
