A DEFENDANT has refused to attend court after being charged with arson after allegedly setting a shared home on fire.
Brandon Gillas has been charged with one count of arson with recklessness as to where life was endangered after allegedly setting fire to a shared home in Wallingford.
The 26-year-old is accused of setting fire to a mattress inside Chalmore House, a supported living for adults with mental health needs home in Reading Road, Wallingford, where the defendant resided.

Gillas was due to appear at Oxford Crown Court on Friday (July 19) for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
However, the court heard he had refused to attend.
His case has now been adjourned until July 26 where he may appear in court over video link.
