AN inquest has opened to the death of a man who fell while crossing the road earlier this month.
Alfred Mountford, 90, experienced an unwitnessed fall on July 7 this year while crossing a road. It is unknown where exactly he was crossing over.
The former maintenance fitter, of Mascord Road, Banbury, was taken to the Horton General Hospital but he died at 4.22pm the same day.

An inquest opening at Oxford Coroner’s Court on Monday, July 15 heard that a post-mortem examination was carried out.
Following the exam, a medical cause of death has been provided as a subdural haematoma and a fall.
Area coroner Nicholas Graham has set a date for a full inquest to take place on Friday (July 19) at 11.30am.
