With less than a week to until Truck Festival, we have compiled a list of what to bring and what not to bring.

Described on the website as “The Godfather of the small festival scene”, Truck Festival will be taking place from Friday, July 26 to Sunday, July 28 at Hill Farm in Steventon.

What to bring 

Tickets - which the festival asks for you to download in advance so it is available offline - photo ID, and a phone are all top of the list of items to bring. 

According to the website, all bars and vendors will be completely cashless, so remember to take a card to pay.

Checking the forecast in advance is recommended to ensure all visitors bring suitable clothing. 

As it stands the Met Office predicts the weather on Friday and Saturday to be 21C.

There will be water taps across the festival site, so taking a reusable water bottle is recommended to stay hydrated, although these must be empty when entering the festival. 

Baby wipes, loo roll and basic toiletries such as a towel, soap, deodorant and toothpaste are all recommended.

Sealed prescription medication will be also allowed in at the gates. 

Although the festival promises to cater for all dietary requirements, the website recommends to bring extra snacks, which are allowed in the campsite but not the arena. 

Lastly, fancy dress, with this year’s theme being sporting heroes.

What NOT to bring

Aerosols over 250 grams including deodorants, antiperspirants,
hairspray, dry shampoo, suntan lotion or skin moisturiser are not allowed. 

Also on the list is excessive amounts of alcohol, and it's important to note that it will only be permitted on first entry to the campsite, meaning visitors will not be able to exit and re-enter with more alcohol.

However, there will be bars selling alcohol at the festival, including cocktail bar Mixtons

Animals are not allowed, with only registered assistance dogs permitted entry to the festival.

Airhorns, drones and unmanned aerial vehicles are included on the list, as well as disposable BBQs.

Professional cameras are also not permitted, which is deemed to be any camera with a removable lens, a zoom 3x or greater, or 10MP cameras.

Those attending the festival should also note that there is planned engineering works which will affect National Rail services across the weekend, affect train services between Oxford, Banbury and Didcot Parkway. 

Replacement buses will be available across the affected dates.

Thames Travel will be also running a Shuttle Bus service to and from Didcot Parkway from Thursday, July 25 to Monday, July 29.
