A California-based musician and her band are set to entertain crowds in Oxford this summer.
On Monday, 29 July, Karla Kane from the The Corner Laughers will be at Michael at the North Gate, Oxford.
The intimate lunchtime concert is part of the popular Music on Mondays series and kicks off at 1pm.
Spectators can enjoy their indie pop for free, with donations going to a wildlife charity.
Kane, the main voice behind the band, is a songwriter, singer, and ukulele player who will be gracing the stage along with her husband, also a band member, Khoi Huynh.
Alongside their indie-and-folk-pop sound, they've released several critically acclaimed albums.
Helen Luker of Nottingham's Fun of the Pier will also be bolstering the ranks with harmonies and percussion.
As described by SF Weekly, "The Corner Laughers craft a brand of pop that’s sophisticated, clever, erudite and memorable — one that follows in the proud tradition of great songwriting artists like Carole King and Paul McCartney."
Meanwhile, The Guardian describes them as "sassy and smart, intelligent and intricate, twee with bite."
Louder Than War further hails them as "armed to the teeth with sharp observations and whimsical wanderings, with a genius for dreamy melodies to boot."
Doors open for the event at 12:30pm, the venue is on Cornmarket Street OX1 2EB.
