Mounted police are carrying out security patrols ahead of a meeting of European leaders at Blenheim Palace.
About 50 leaders are expected at the European Political Community (EPC) meeting in Woodstock on Thursday (July 18) which will be hosted by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
The mounted police officers have a great height advantage, allowing them to see potential activity that may seek to disrupt the summit, said police.
The officers and horses have protected the Royal Family at official events, managed large crowds at football matches and popular events, and supported arrests for a wide range of offences during their daily patrols.

PC Chris Harriett, of the Mounted Section, said: “Our expert Mounted Section is just some of the many additional security measures we have in place in and around Blenheim Palace to ensure the safety to both the delegates of the meeting as well as residents and businesses.
“Our mounted officers will be happy to explain what they are doing and answer any questions that you may have, and our police horses enjoy the attention they get from the public so please do stop and speak with them when you spot them on patrol.
“We also have additional, specially trained uniformed and non-uniformed officers patrolling Woodstock and the villages around the palace.
“Police officers on the ground and those with a higher perspective are working together to disrupt criminal behaviour, identify criminal intent, and reassure the public.
"We also rely on people to support us and report anything that seems suspicious.
“The measures we have in place are to ensure that everyone stays safe, and I would like to reiterate my thanks for the public’s patience and understanding.”
