A riverside pub in Oxford’s city centre had its speakers stolen just hours before showing the England final on Sunday evening.
The Head of the River on Folly Bridge reopened in May following a transformative refurbishment which spanned several months.
Nestled on the banks of the Thames, the Fuller's-owned watering hole boasts a bar, riverside dining area and garden, and 19 boutique bedrooms which all now have new décor.
However, disaster struck over the weekend as the pub’s outside speakers were stolen in the early hours before the pub was set to show England's Euro 2024 final later in the day.

The speakers were taken from the drinking hotspot at around 4am on Sunday (July 14).
A spokesperson for Fuller’s said: “Unfortunately, a set of speakers were stolen from The Head of the River early Sunday morning.
“This was reported to the local police and they will be investigating the incident.”
Thames Valley Police also confirmed the theft after being contacted by the Oxford Mail on Monday morning.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Thames Valley Police received a report of stolen speakers from outside the pub on Folly Bridge yesterday (Sunday, July 14) at around 2.06pm.
