Wallingford Museum will host a Family Archaeology Day on Saturday, July 20.
The event, part of the Council for British Archaeology Festival, will run from 11am till 4pm.
Organised by the Wallingford Historical and Archaeological Society, visitors are invited to meet its experts, bring in their findings for identification, participate in a micro-dig and create their own clay pots.
Experts will also demonstrate how Geographic Information Systems are used to locate archaeological, geological, and landscape features.
Mini talks about historical Wallingford, including insights derived from clay tobacco pipe fragments and a model of Wallingford Castle, will also be featured.
Normal museum entry charges apply, with an adult ticket priced at £6, children go free, with deals and discounts for groups and schools.
Booking is essential.
