A police helicopter was deployed in a desperate search for a girl who went missing in Oxfordshire today.
Bethany, whose surname was not provided by the force, disappeared from the Thorney Leas area of Witney at around 4.40pm on Saturday.
The seven-year-old was wearing a black and white polka dress with red socks and black leggings when she went missing.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “Officers are currently searching for a missing seven-year-old child, Bethany, who has gone missing from the Thorney Leas area of Witney.

“She is described as approximately 1.2 m tall, slender build, a black and white polka dot dress with red socks and black leggings.
“Bethany also has long blonde hair in a ponytail.
“Any sightings please call 999 immediately and report location.
“Reference number 1457 of today.”
A swift reaction from the police meant that the missing child was located safe and well less than 15 minutes after the first appeal.
The force spokesperson added: “Having had a swift response from units and assistance from the NPAS helicopter, we are pleased to say Bethany has been found, safe and well.
“Thank you if you responded in assistance.”
