Emma Raducanu has reaped the rewards of a strong Wimbledon showing after ruling out the University of Oxford.

The tennis star has shot up the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings after her Wimbledon performances this summer.

She won her first three matches at the 2024 Championships but she eventually was defeated by Lulu Sun in the fourth round last Sunday.

As a result of the wins, Raducanu has jumped up a whopping 41 places meaning that she is back into the top 100 having been absent from the list for 15 months.

The 21-year-old will now enter the upcoming hardcourt swing in the States placed 94th in the world despite the fourth round Wimbledon loss.

Ahead of the Championships, Ms Raducanu was pictured in the main quad of Corpus Christi College during a visit to Oxford University.

“I’m very much focused on my professional tennis career,” she said in the post-match press conference.

“Once that’s over maybe or once I have more disposition or more time, that’s for sure something I would love to explore.

“For now I’m very much focused on the tennis.”

It was revealed earlier this week that Raducanu missed out on hundreds of thousands of pounds due to the Wimbledon loss.

Should the 21-year-old have won against Sun, she would have netted a whopping £375,000 according to The Sun.
