A woman has been arrested after staff at an Oxford supermarket were assaulted during a shoplifting.
The incident happened on Friday morning as Thames Valley Police officers from Oxford City Centre & JAW Neighbourhood Policing Team arrested a woman from Headington.
A staff member was assaulted at a supermarket in Summertown during an incident of shoplifting.
Officers subsequently arrested the woman who has since been interviewed and bailed under conditions which will prevent further offences.

Thames Valley Police relayed the news of the arrest via their social media channels on Friday evening.
A spokesperson for the force said: “This is part of an investigation whereby a staff member from a supermarket in Summertown was assaulted during a shoplifting.
“The female has been interviewed and subsequently bailed with strict conditions to prevent further offences.
“The investigation will now be reviewed by the CPS who will make a charging decision.”
