Bicester is set to host a grassroots motorsport festival this September.

Motorsport UK's StreetCar Festival will take place on September 8 at its Bicester HQ.

The event will provide novices and seasoned competitors an opportunity to experience many aspects of StreetCar, a competitive car sport.

Numerous StreetCar clubs will be in attendance to talk about the activities they run and how people can get involved.

The festival will provide opportunities to compete in various StreetCar disciplines.

One of these is Autotest, where the top club Autotesters will face off in their standard road cars to claim the title of the inaugural StreetCar Festival Autotest champion.

A non-competitive AutoSOLO taster event will take place separately from the Autotest.

The entry fee for this event is £5 and each participant will have three runs in their standard road vehicles.

There will also be some static competition, with awards set to be handed out in a variety of categories.

The Experience and Demonstration Track and Paddock will be converted into a vibrant festival ground, set to celebrate the best of grassroots motorsport.

Visitors to last year's Model Car Concours II Assembly at Bicester Heritage will have had a glimpse of what will be in store, when Motorsport UK ran taster sessions in the paddock.

Tickets are limited but are currently available for £10, excluding fees.
