City Sightseeing Oxford has been recognised as a tourist favourite with a prestigious TripAdvisor award.

The tour operator was awarded the Travellers’ Choice Award for 2024 for ranking in the top 10 per cent of global listings based on feedback from tourists over the past year.

This recognises the tour operator's commitment to providing excellent tourism experiences, with a repeat mention of its attentive guides and regular services in the many positive reviews.

The award follows City Sightseeing Oxford's £4 million investment into a new fleet of electric open-top buses which have been providing zero-emission tours since March.

These tours have allowed tourists to sightsee around the city in an environmentally friendly way.

Luke Marion, Managing director at Oxford Bus Company, said: "We're a customer-focused operation, so to be recognised for our high standards of service is very pleasing.

"This award is a testament to the enthusiasm and knowledge of our City Sightseeing Oxford team, which includes our drivers, tour guides, ticket sellers and staff at our travel shop and visitor information point.

"We’re so privileged to serve such a historic city and act as a touch point to hundreds of thousands of tourists each year who want to learn more about what has and continues to make Oxford a special place.

"Our thanks go to our customers too, whose kind and voluntary feedback has led to this recognition."
