Police in Oxfordshire are cracking down after a spike in shoplifting at supermarkets.
There have been several shoplifting incidents at stores in Didcot and Wallingford with several members of the public entering the store despite being banned.
Culprits are believed to be schoolchildren with Thames Valley Police with an importance now placed on school kick-out times.
The force has pledged to patrol the supermarkets from now on with officers photographed outside the town’s Asda store.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “Following reports of shoplifting and ASB, Didcot and Wallingford NHPT spent time patrolling around stores in alignment with school "kick-out" times.
“There have been issues with banned individuals continuing to enter stores, so officers assisted by providing a visible deterrence.”
