A SENTENCING date has been set for a man caught with more than 100 indecent images of children.
Rhys Newson, of Edmunds Road, Banbury, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (July 9) charged with three counts of making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child.
The 27-year-old defendant is accused of making the images in Banbury on or before July 31 last year.

He was caught with 29 Category A images, 96 Category B images, and 84 Category C images of children.
The case has been adjourned and sent to Oxford Crown Court to be heard instead.
Newson is now due in the upper court on Thursday, August 8 for a sentencing hearing.
He could face a prison sentence or/and a fine.
