With a range of activities lined up from July 19 to August 31, the councils are preparing to keep the children entertained and active.
The Active Communities Team is providing a series of free Xplorer sessions, Born to Move fitness and dance sessions, and other activities for young children.
Girls aged five to 11 have an opportunity to try football, make new friends, and have fun through dedicated Girls' Football sessions.
The councils have organised events, where the whole family can come together to enjoy Fun Days, with activities including tag games, cricket, Danish longball, lawn games and more.
Skateboarding and scooter enthusiasts can look forward to Summer of Skate skateboarding events, which include competitions, games and prizes.
From July 27 to August 31, the annual Didcot Garden Party will host various family events, including musical workshops, performances during Fusion Fest, Communities Come Together Day and Junior Bootcamp sessions.
The Oxfordshire Play Association will also host a series of Play Days for children, young people and their families.
Adding a learning edge to the summer fun, the popular Litterbug Detective Trails are returning to six locations across Vale and South Oxfordshire from July 19 to August 11.
Participants in trail walks may answer questions about waste and recycling to get a chance to win a prize.
Booking is advised as these activities are expected to be popular.
Schedule and booking details are available on their website.
Better Leisure Centres, managed on behalf of the district councils by GLL, have also planned a range of family activities.
Specific details about offerings can be found on the Better UK website and the centres' Facebook pages.
Outdoor pools in Abingdon and Wallingford will be open for people of all ages to enjoy swimming.
