Emma Thompson has been spotted on the set of a mystery-comedy film shooting in a village near the Oxfordshire border.
It was revealed that Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie was filming in Hambledon, a village around three miles northeast of Henley, last week – with no sightings of stars Hugh Jackman or Emma Thompson when we stopped by.
Megan Brown – an art director from Canada who was visiting the UK last weekend – had more luck, however.

The 30-year-old took a detour from her London trip after she heard Three Bags Full was shooting in the nearby countryside and, after a fruitless trip on Friday, she hopped back on the train to Henley on July 6 and was rewarded by a sighting of Thompson and Succession actor Nicholas Braun in the village centre.
Photos taken by Megan Brown on Saturday show crew members gathering outside a mock-up police station next to Hambleden Village Stores, with a stern-looking Mr Braun in police uniform in the foreground alongside Ms Thompson, dressed eye-catchingly in bright orange.
The film follows the death of Mr Jackman’s shepherd character and the unlikely sleuthing work of his flock of sheep – who outwit human detectives in the race to track down his killer.
Ramtin Epour, who works in Hambleden, said the production was temporarily paused last Wednesday, July 3, after an actor became ill, but resumed its normal schedule on July 6 – making Ms Brown's visit particularly fortuitous.
Mr Epour said: “We heard rumours about a film being shot here around a year ago because someone came to scout out the location. They’ve had big tents up in a field nearby for two weeks.”
According to Deadline, Three Bags Full will be released in cinemas on February 20, 2026.
