A Didcot charity has celebrated 50 years since it was chartered in 1974.

Didcot Rotary Club marked their golden anniversary with a celebration dinner at La Fontana.

Current, former and honorary members of the club, as well as special guests, attended the event, with some travelling from as far as Devon and Scotland.

Founding member Gordon Walker reminisced about significant charity events such as the Santa sleigh, fireworks show and truck festival.

Several members were awarded Paul Harris Fellowships including a Platinum award to secretary Liz Tappin, who was associated with the club for more than 50 years.

The charity has also raised thousands of pounds for ShelterBox disaster relief.

ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and other aid to families around the world who have lost their homes to disaster or conflict.
